Just came back from turkey, super fun, much better than Bangkok and I made lots of new friends, adults and children alike, traveling in a group is a lot better than traveling free and easy. Things are planned for you, no need to worry about meals. can make friends, eat together.
Although it was quite cold there, about 2-16 degree celcius? The wind was quite strong and I totally detested the food there, every restaurant offers the same food!! It was a total torture! Only on the last day were we able to eat Chinese and Korean food.GRR.complain complain
Everyday was tomato soup, a lot of salad, a lot of bread, a lot of meat and butter rice, salty or sour! It was really boring eating the same food for nine days.EWEWEW
Turkey is probably not such a safe place, on the first day in an underground waterfall, one of my tour mates got her handphone stolen, another family got one of their passports stolen so they immediately rushed to the police station but fortunately, about five days later when they were cleaning the waterfall, they found the passport all wet lying inside the waterfall!! They tried their best to dry the passport and we concluded that it was stolen because it was wrapped in leather and looked like a wallet (: Moral of story: never wrap your passport to look like a wallet
The bus rides were also very long but we managed to kill time by playing murderer, polar bear (haha, I taught them!!), speed, cheat, etc. adults joined in sometimes as well. ((: whenever they wanted to. We sang in the bus, tried to dance (tried only)
The hotels were all four stars but not really up to expectations I guess. We just jumped from one hotel to another so it dint really matter that much. We only spent the night in the hotel because we woke up so early and came back quite late. The days there are very short. six hours time difference!!
Sunrise: 4.30 Sunset:4.00
We visited many mosques, churches, stones and rocks and ruined cities and underground places so it was quite enriching.
The escort was quite nice, she helped everyone bond and doubled up as a photographer for family pictures and all.
I NEVER ever want to become a escort or even a tour guide, its so scary leaving your family in Singapore and going out of the country on your own but it’s quite cool, getting paid for going on holiday though she had to work quite hard like with the luggages and all.
I visited the troy horse that was used in the movie, it’s quite nice but it looks better in the movie x) normally happens like that.
i bought something for everyone in my class x) christmas or reunion? i dunno but doesnt matter ((:
