FAMILY NIGHT '07warning: long long post ahead. i have a huge blister on my foot now, after running to and fro from the staffroom to the storeroom to the quadrangle to 3M to the canteen and all sorts of weird places. i walk with a limp. ): 2G won overall. hahah. so sad that 2T(
i love 2T 06 and 07 to bits and pieces) didn't win but 2G's song was really really the best and most original <3! should i post my reflections here? oh well. i shall. then ahma can read it and help me edit it so that i dont sound so.. criticising?

Family night was quite a success, in my opinion. Although there were a few glitches here and there, the students and parents seemed to have enjoyed themselves immensely. It was a huge burden off my shoulders when the event ended on a high note, the dehydration and exhaustion didn’t matter so much anymore. Although I was rushing from one place to another, family night turned out better than I had expected. The group came and worked together in the end so nothing else really mattered.
Our preparations were very last minute, because not everybody knew what they were supposed to do and where they were supposed to be. This all boils down to one reason, people who never attended meetings never read minutes to keep themselves updated on the happenings but it’s probably not their fault since they had valid reasons to miss meetings. I must admit that there were times when I was bitter that people just skipped meetings that were planned in advance but I suppose it doesn’t really bother me now since family night is finally over and done with. The satisfaction surpasses all anger and resentment. However, it would have been a lot better if the whole group could meet together all the time, then the many jobs would be evenly split. There are always people in the group doing more work than others, putting more effort in every way.
I think that many of us tried very hard to remember all our duties but sometimes the list overwhelms us and details just slip our minds. Perhaps, some of us lack initiative to ask our group members what we’re supposed to be doing and whether they need help.
We also had many ideas but nobody really bothered to follow through with them so our thoughts were very scattered and disorganized.
2T is an amazing class and I loved working with them. Although I was a little upset that they didn’t get the top 3 prizes considering they worked so hard, it was to be expected since there were only 3 top prizes. I’m still very proud of my class, no matter what. Sitting back and enjoying family night together with them made me swell with pride that all of us had planned this event.
I learnt a lot from being the organizing committee for such a big-scale event. Teamwork is essential, for without my team mates, I don’t think that we would be able to pull through, the emcees and the various committees all played a big role J
Communication was also necessary and that was something that we lacked in. everyday, someone came to tell me something new that I had to inform the maintenance office of, I went to the maintenance office more than 6 times to make changes to the list of items so it really got on my nerves. I think the maintenance office workers were so sick of seeing my face almost every recess but I must acknowledge that they are indeed efficient people J
I enjoyed Family Night ’07 more than Family Night ’06, much more. I was so thankful to see that the audience was excited and enthusiastic

a teacher just sent my mummy a nice nice message praising me (: yay. now mummy's happy but she's pretending not to be though and i'm drained from family night still, am i glad that it's finally over!
NAG tomorrow! with a huge big fat blister, sucks big time. i hate hate hate having blisters! i don't feel competition-mode yet. HAHA.
we won first for RG invitational relay(: i got a medal. then there was a huge mixup which i shan't elaborate because it would only make me very annoyed with a certain someone. i liked the silver one better than the gold medal. heehee.
theory exam went fine i think. i have high hopes of passing! yay. liana is a very very happy girl. oh yes. i wanted to copy nicole chan's list of things to do then i shall slowly edit it. i shall adjourn there now (: lalalalala. heymath drives me up the wall.
