Everyone's just missing in action. And the worst thing is, i can't use msn!
HAHA. I'm back from vietnam. I'm so bored but too lazy to type in detail what I did there. While i was there, i read the tenth circle by jodi picoult and I was quite taken aback. There, here's an abstract. It was page-turning so on the 7.5 hour train ride to a small town, It was a story about parental vigilance gone haywire, inner demons and the emotional risks of relationships. This story of a flawed family on the brink of destruction grips from start to end. Somehow, i wanted my mum to read it, so she read it on the train ride back. haha, she didnt like the previous 2 jodi picoult novels so she was pretty hesitant about reading this one, she thinks it was quite good :D
But she wasn’t in her bedroom, and when he
reached the bathroom, the door was locked. Daniel rattled
it, but there was no response. He threw his entire weight
against the jamb until the door burst free.
Trixie was shivering, huddled in the crease made by
the wall and the shower stall. “Baby,” he said,
coming down on one knee. “Are you sick?” But
then Trixie turned in slow-motion, as if he was the last
person she’d ever expected to see. Her eyes were
empty; ringed with mascara. She was wearing something black
and sheer that was ripped at the shoulder.
“Daddy,” she said, and she started to cry.
“Did something happen at Zephyr’s?”
Trixie nodded. She opened her mouth to speak, but
then pressed her lips together; shaking her head.
“You can tell me,” Daniel said, gathering
her into his arms as if she were small again.
Her hands were knotted together between them, like a
heart that had broken its bounds. “Daddy,” she
whispered. “He raped me.” "Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water." Hebrews 10:22Everyday was a close shave, the traffic there is really scary, I was so freaked out everytime i cross the roads, motorcycles and cars and taxis just zooming by in all directions and i really thank God that i'm still alive :D
I went for training yesterday evening, pretty fun because i swam very little. I was late by an hour anyway. Almost all the girls went; yongjia, selene, jasmine, alicia, claire and me! HAHA, and the slacker kenneth actually went, I was marking attendance then because his name is above mine, i was like stunned that he actually bothered to go :) maybe people do change. Yesterday's program involved alot of fly and 20x100 free pull. We did a few sprints and i sprinted with nicholas :D haha, i like to sprint with him. Then alicia was having a whale of a time teasing kenneth.
I slept really early last night, about 1230, one of my earliest in singapore. When i'm overseas, i sleep really really early every night and I don't even wake up that early, approximately 8.30? This morning, i woke up at 7 to have a nice steaming croissant waiting for me, felt so bloated as i went for training. As I was still stoning in the car, i see a familiar maroon-coloured car in front and as i reached to the back to get my net bag, i turn around and see kenneth stepping out of the car. lol, i thought i was dreaming [oops, this is jasmine's line] haha, people change overnight x)
Morning training is restful :D Liu jiaolian was mainly training the small kids so we did 800 warmup, 400 freekick, 400flykick, 500 breaststrokepull, 900 dragonfly(?), 10 x 50 fly with fins. I think i missed out something but that should be it. Only nicole, victoria, kenneth, isaac and japher went so we had a lane to ourselves. And i had to keep the lane ropes, i have no idea what their obsession about laneropes is. It's so annoying! Then some idiot called japher went to twist the lane ropes up and i had to untangle them. ANNOYING PERSON.
I'm so bored! This computer can't watch youtube and can't access msn. I'm so bored that i think i'm going to read heymath lessons. haha, maybe not. I'll go play with gmail.
And tomorrow I have to go to school. I refuse to take public transport, that's a nono. So my mummy has to send me to school at 8.15! BOO. Waking up early is better than taking public transport, nevermind :D I have gracefong to accompany me! yay. Then the "meeting" will probably take 3 hours again. How draining ^^
Someone entertain me
